The Aval Rural Livelihood Empowerment Society (ARLES), founded in 2016, is a community-driven organization dedicated to transforming rural lives in the Utnoor Division of Adilabad District, Telangana. The name "Aval", derived from the local Gond tribal language, means "mother"—a symbol of care, strength, and life-giving force. True to this spirit, ARLES nurtures and empowers rural communities by fostering sustainable livelihoods and promoting dignity, self-reliance, and inclusive development.
Women's empowerment is at the heart of ARLES’s mission. Through focused interventions, ARLES uplifts women and youth by providing them with skills, resources, and platforms to lead change within their families and communities. The organization also supports the formation and strengthening of farmer collectives, promoting cooperation, shared learning, and better market access.
