Natural Resource Management & Environment Restoration

ARLES partners with Gram Panchayats and the Forest Department to protect 15 villages in the Utnoor Division from deforestation and biodiversity loss.

Empowering Forest Through Community Initiatives

ARLES recognizes that sustainable livelihoods depend on healthy ecosystems. In partnership with DRDA and MGNREGA, ARLES implements community-led initiatives focused on natural resource management and environmental restoration. Key activities include bund plantations, soak pits, gobar gas plants, trenches, percolation tanks, and rockfill dams—all aimed at improving water conservation, soil health, and waste management. These efforts enhance groundwater recharge, reduce soil erosion, and boost agricultural productivity. Active in 10 villages, these projects directly impact over 1000 poor people. With a focus on community training and ownership, ARLES ensures that environmental infrastructure is both effective and sustainable, promoting long-term climate resilience and ecosystem stewardship.
